This is an appropriate point to review and / or assess progress and the activities on pages 39-42 of Talk French are designed for this purpose.
The following activities could be used for extension work.
Activity 4 could lead to brainstorming of other places in France, reinforcing pronunciation / spelling and stimulating learners to contribute their personal experiences of France. It can bring a wealth of cultural information to the classroom and reinforce motivation.
Activity 8 could be a model for learners to write a short description of themselves.
Learners work in pairs or groups to produce their own mots cachés along the lines of activity 9 for other groups to solve.
