This is an appropriate point to review and / or assess progress and the activities on pages 39-42 Talk Japanese are designed for this purpose.

The following activities could also be used as a stimulus for some extension work.

Using the countries in activity 5 as a starting point, introduce the section on written Japanese on pages 98-99, focusing on activity 2.

Activity 7 could provide the cues for an interview to be recorded.

Ask the class, working in pairs or small groups, to produce their own ‘odd one out’ sequence (activity 9) or a crossword (activity 10) for other groups to solve.
